# Apple Music Integration

> Apple Music as a platform option for native notification pre-save. Fans select Apple Music and receive a release-day link.

Apple Music is the second-largest music streaming platform in the world, and many of your fans use it as their primary listening service. Fanaura includes Apple Music as a platform option on pre-save pages so those fans can commit to your release and receive a direct link on release day.

## What This Integration Does

* **Platform selection on pre-save pages**: Fans click **Pre-Save on Apple Music** to record Apple Music as their preferred platform.
* **Native notification pre-save**: Fanaura records the presave internally. On release day, the fan receives an email or SMS with a direct Apple Music streaming link.
* **No per-artist setup**: Apple Music appears automatically on your smart link when you enable it on the release.

<Info>Fanaura pre-saves use **native notification pre-save** for all platforms, including Apple Music. Fanaura does not automatically add the track to the fan's Apple Music library via MusicKit OAuth in the current shipping flow.</Info>

## Apple Music vs Spotify on Pre-Save Pages

| Feature | Spotify | Apple Music |
| - | - | - |
| Pre-save mechanism | Native notification pre-save | Native notification pre-save |
| OAuth at presave | No | No |
| Release day | Email or SMS with direct link | Email or SMS with direct link |
| Fan requirement | Any fan who selects the platform | Any fan who selects the platform |

Both platforms use the same Fanaura native notification model. The fan chooses their preferred service; Fanaura notifies them on release day.

## Setup

<Info>
  Apple Music appears on your pre-save page when you enable it in the release platform settings. There is no separate Apple Music API key or OAuth setup for artists.
</Info>

## Supported Actions

* **Pre-save platform selection**: Fan records Apple Music as their preferred platform.
* **Release-day notification**: Fan receives a direct streaming link on release day.
* **Stream page conversion**: Pre-save page becomes a stream page after release.

## Troubleshooting

| Issue | Likely cause | What to do |
| - | - | - |
| Apple Music button not showing | Platform not enabled on the release | Enable Apple Music in **Assets → Music → platform settings** |
| Fan did not receive release notification | Missing email or SMS opt-in | Confirm fan completed signup with valid contact info and consent |
| Link goes to wrong track | ISRC not set or link resolution pending | Add ISRC before release day for automatic link fetching |
